Too individualist and headstrong to become part of the teen pop machine (apparently he turned down an offer to join a boy band), Ian Erix instead left his native Long Island for Europe, where he initially took a job as a presenter on the PopStop Tour.
This led to a role on the reality television program PopLife, a show centering on an American artist making his way through the music business in Europe. From there, he teamed with Danish songwriter Dan Zak, and the two worked together on For Conformity. Released in early 2005 throughout Europe and Asia, it spawned a major chart hit in the form of "Confessions of a Killer." ~ Andy Kellman
