Consisting of vocalist David Walgrave, guitarists Filip Lasseel and Joost Vlasschaert, bassist Mark Theunssens and drummer Jan Moerman, German heavy metal purists Crusader toiled for years as a cover band before starting to pen original material for their debut album, 2000's Manowar-inspired This Mortal Flesh.
